Hey, I'm Ryan. Nice to meet you.
I left a career inside the global agency machine in 2019 with no clients, no safety net, and a fairly strong suspicion that the way most agencies worked wasn't actually in the client's interest. Five years later, I'm still running that suspicion as a business strategy.
I spent a decade inside the global agency holding groups. The big ones. The kind with floors full of people and decks full of frameworks and a billing model that rewards complexity over results.
I learned a lot. I also learned that wasn't where I wanted to stay.
In 2019, I started Social Liaison with no clients and no safety net. Just a clear idea of how I wanted to work and who I wanted to work with. Lean by design. A handful of ambitious clients at any one time, not a roster of dozens. Strategy and media buying handled by me, with a tight crew of specialist creatives I bring in when the work demands it. No juniors learning on your brief. No account managers in the middle. Just people who are very good at what they do, applied directly to your problem.
Fifteen years into my career, and I've worked with brands that most agencies would consider too big for a setup like mine, and brands that most agencies would consider too small to bother with. What they've had in common is that they were serious about what they were building and wanted someone equally serious sitting alongside them.
That's the job. Not to run campaigns. To help brands figure out what they actually need to say, and make sure they say it in a way that people remember.
The clients on this page are the proof of that. I'm proud of every one of them.
